MD Profile - Nick Wood

Nick’s career spans 25 years working within the Financial Services Sector for several blue chip companies and covers a variety of sales and marketing roles.

During his career Nick has successfully lead a branch network of over 50 branches and 500 staff, exceeding multiple targets on a regular basis.

Amongst a number of senior roles, Nick set up a strategic partnership with a large regulated financial services provider and very quickly established it as one of the most successful partners. Nick partly attributes these successes to placing a high focus on the customer and regularly exceeding their expectations.

Nick holds an MBA from Henley Management College. His dissertation focused on improving business performance through understanding Customer needs and expectations. Nick is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and an immediate Past President of the Coventry and Warwickshire Centre. Nick is an Associate of the Market Research Society and a Management Member of the Institute of Customer Service.

Nowadays, Nick helps companies to gain an insight into the customer experience within their own organisation. He is passionate about Customer Service and believes that it isn’t rocket science, more common sense, based on the principles that people should be treated in the same way as they would expect to be treated, as this will inevitably lead to further business.

Nick has seen companies that make the most of the customer experience research, being willing to accept the good with the bad. The ability to accept constructive criticism and seek ways to improve is vital and to date, companies that have adopted this approach have seen their performance shift up a gear in the right direction. Nick and his team want all companies to achieve Customer Excellence and to be proud of their service ability.
